Are you a teacher, minister or business owner who has always wanted to get your message out to your stakeholders? Your message could be anything from classroom announcements to your homily to a marketing message. And your stakeholders are your students and their parents, your parishioners or your customers. The problem is how can you easily reach all of these individuals? Well you could send emails but does your message get through? What about an audio message? That would be a different way to communicate. But, how do you send out an audio message? Simple: podcasting.

Podcasts are digital media files (like audio files) that are produced by a “podcaster”, placed on the Internet and then downloaded via RSS. Check out this cool video about podcasting from Common Craft.

All you need to do this is a computer and a microphone to get started. You can use free software like Audacity to save your recording.   If you want to get really high quality audio then you can invest in a good microphone and a mixer.

Once you record your audio, all you need to do is to publish it to your blog, website or even to iTunes.   If this sounds like something you are interested in creating to help get your message out, contact me and I’ll be happy to help you get up and running.
